Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is a critical support to the sales team.

 

General Administrative Responsibilities

Sales Support Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum revenue achieved on all quotes/orders processed
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers' profitability profiles
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
  • Obtain accurate information from suppliers relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery and keep client updated
  • Support sales team and customers through timely and accurate response to their requests for prices, quotation and other general information
  • Processing of customers orders, queries for nominated accounts
  • Database administration
  • Keep track, quote and process all clients' annual renewable agreements
  • Support other team members as necessary
  • Following up with clients on quotes issued
  • Ensure deliveries destined for clients go out to client quickly
  • Liaise with dispatch to ensure ticket creation for all fixed price work

MS SQL / ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Trilogy Technologies currently has a vacancy for a Junior/Mid-Level DBA located in our office in central Dublin.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:


A Junior to Mid-level MS SQL Server/Oracle DBA is required to support the Trilogy customer base. The successful candidate will be part of a small team supporting DBA customer requirements, remotely and on-site.
The Trilogy DBA team is responsible for supporting all customer databases and works very closely with clients and internal business groups to support the Database environments.  Core activities are Database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, high-availability strategies in production environments including installation, upgrades & patching. The team is charged with administering, maintaining, developing and recommending policies & procedures for ensuring the performance, availability, security and integrity of customer’s databases and systems.

 

Personal Skills

  • Support MSSQL 2000, 2005 & 2008 Database
  • MSSQL Analysis & Reporting Services
  • Support Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g Databases.
  • Oracle Application Server / Weblogic
  • Database backup/recovery, space management and troubleshooting
  • Adhering to following the Trilogy call logging system and emails for day to day work in a multitasking fashion.
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery concepts, particularly in a Windows environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills along with a customer focused attitude and ability to deal with our clients.
  • Must be a good team player and be flexible with work arrangements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Third level education in Information Technology
  • Must have minimum of 1-5 years’ experience working as a Database Administrator
  • Having or willing to undertake MSSQL & Oracle certification.

 

MSSQL Specific Knowledge:

  • Experience of MSSQL 2000, 2005 & 2008
  • Ability to support  MSSQL Analysis & Reporting Services.
  • Good knowledge of MSSQL Replication /Log Shipping/Mirroring & Clustering.
  • Experience in the use of performance monitoring tools including SQL profiler and server side traces.

Oracle Specific Knowledge:

  • Decent experience of Oracle database versions 11g 10g, 9i on Windows & Unix platforms.
  • Good Knowledge of RMAN, Oracle Data Pump, backup/recovery and Dataguard essential
  • Experience of Oracle Installations, upgrades & patching.
  • Quick learner to pick up new Oracle Database technologies including RAC with minimum guidance.

Managed Services Engineer

Trilogy is seeking to recruit an Engineer with an interest in developing their skillsets and learning both the technical and operational facets of delivering a high-tech managed services platform, providing support to a large numbers of clients across a broad range of infrastructures. Included in these are hardware and software based technologies such as:- Operating Systems, Applications (Email, Internet, Databases), Communications (LAN, WAN, Remote Management), Servers, Data storage systems, Management tools, Virtualisation Technologies.

 

The position is based in our office in Dublin city centre.

 

Key Activities/Responsiblities

  • Daily monitoring of Managed Services environment ( 2500+ clients)
  • Performing daily / weekly checks on our platform
  • Ensuring Patching on clients is being carried out and up-to-date
  • Ensure active scripting / maintenance is running on client devices
    - Setup of new clients on to Managed Services Platform
    - Monitoring alert queues and reacting to issues
    - Categorising Alerts
  • Managing tickets escalated to Managed Services team
  • Setting up hardware monitoring on client sites
  • Documenting Internal processes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold a 3rd level qualification in an IT discipline
  • An understanding and previous experience using / troubleshooting Windows 2003 / 2008 server
  • A good understanding of TCP/IP & related services
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Scripting experience a plus – ASP / VBScript / Auto IT / Batch Files / C#
  • HP / Dell / IBM hardware management an advantage
  • Virtualisation experience / basic knowledge an advantage
  • Kaseya knowledge an advantage
